Steam Remote Play is a handy service that lets you stream PC games from your Steam library to your phone, tablet, or laptop. Inviting my friend to Remote Play Together from the Steam overlay, which I did. Per Steam its as easy as starting a game with the Remote Play Together ability on the phone, which Portal 2 is. So his Android phone alerts him of a second invite to Portal 2, and says he needs to accept my invite for the game from his computer, not my phone. ![]() Under the Remote play option, make sure that. Open the Steam menu at the top left corner of the window and navigate to Settings. And now I'm thinking this RPT thing is broken. Switch on your PC and log in to your Steam client. Click 'Shift' + 'Tab' to bring up the steam overlay 3. ![]() In case you want to play Outer Worlds, I had to enable the 'Force Gamepad' option on the PC Moonlight client to get the controller to work on my iPad. When I play, I stream my desktop and launch the game how I would if I were sitting at my PC. However their keyboard inputs are not registered in the game. If you scroll down, theres a section on streaming your whole desktop work Moonlight. I invite him even though he's already accepted my Remote Play Together invite. I invited my friend to play overcooked 2 with steam remote play. but apparently he's here with me but not here. I dont know why I'm selecting his name cause I already Remote Play Together invited him and so on. WTF - I've already invited my friend - they've already accepted - Steam already set the portal controls on their phone, and on my desktop my "friend's" list confirms they're ready.īut nonetheless, in Portal 2 my friend's name is on my Friend's list as someone I can invite, so. So we should be ready to go as soon as I select to play a co-op game.īut when I select a co-op game it asks me who I want to invite, as per a normal Portal 2 game, like my friend is not even invited. Their phone control overlay is at the ready complete with the orange and blue portal gun buttons. They're watching my Portal menu screen like I am. In other words, it's all good - they're in and we are ready to "remote play together". Now my friend's list shows them as having accepted my invite, and I, on my desktop, have the option to kick them. Using the PS Remote Play app, you can control your PlayStation5 console or PlayStation4 console from a device at a different location. The Steam Chat app requires the Steam Link app to complete the invite, so they download that. I can invite, and they can accept on their Android phone, my Remote Play Together invite using the Steam Chat app installed on their phone. I'm learning this Remote Play Together thing and it's making no sense. Just pair a Bluetooth controller or Steam Controller to your device, connect to a computer running Steam, and start playing your existing Steam games. ![]()
